William J. Cewe, age 67, of Spooner, WI passed away on July 5, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, MN. Bill was born on June 3, 1943 to William and Myrtle Cewe in LaCrosse, WI. Bill entered the US Army in September 1961and served his country for 3 years. He attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Bill married Becky Brunsell at Long Lake Lutheran Church in Sarona, WI on October 11, 1975. He was employed as an electrician for Spooner Electric and then owned and operated his own business for over 20 years. He also worked as a slot technician at St. Croix Casino in Turtle Lake, WI. Bill enjoyed many hobbies including bowling, fishing, horseshoes, pool, and camping. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William. He is survived by his mother Myrtle, wife Becky, children Carla and Sarah Cewe, grandchildren Parker and Dawson Cewe, sisters Mary Jo Kellington and Margie (Bob) Beardsley, uncle Gordan "Tyne" Cewe, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Scalzo-Taylor Family Funeral Home, Spooner, WI. Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:30 AM (visit 9:30 - 10:30 AM) at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spooner, WI with Pastor Carolyn Mowchan officiating. Music will be provided by Sylvia Isaacson, soloist and Pat Barnett, accompanist. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI.
