Warren Berry Jr., a resident of Grantsburg, WI, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on August 11, 2024, at age 75.

Warren was born on February 18, 1949, to Warren and Lois Berry in Minneapolis, MN. He spent his childhood in many different places, and graduated in Sioux Falls, SD, in 1967. The following year, Warren joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA. On June 20, 1969, he married the love of his life, Sandra. Together they raised three children, Sean, Sonya, and Shad.

Being in the Marines, he and Sandra also relocated many times. They went from South Carolina to Arizona, and then spent 8 years in Dallas, Texas.

Warren had a deep passion for learning. He enjoyed reading and watching documentaries on National Geographic and the History Channel. He also loved building things and working on cars and spent a lot of time tinkering around in the garage on different vehicles, especially the 1941 Oldsmobile he shared with Sandra.

Warren is preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Sonya Marie, brother; Kenneth (Cindy) Berry, brother-in-law; Dennis Palmier, and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; sons, Sean Berry, Shad (April) Berry; grandchildren, Ashley and Madison Berry, and Alex Ward, great grandchildren; Alex Jr and Willow Ward, Braydn Chiles, Briton and Bently Stikle, sisters; Barbara Palmier, Suzanne (Gary) VanDoren, brother; Kevin Berry, as well at many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A visitation service will take place on August 22, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM (military honors at 6:30) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg, WI.
