Ronald Joseph Deyo, age 72, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1953 in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
Ronald will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he met. A dedicated housing contractor, he took great pride in his work and in building things that would last. His hands were rarely still—when he wasn’t working, he could often be found in his workshop, woodworking, a hobby that brought him both peace and purpose.
Ronald had a deep love for the outdoors and community involvement. He cherished the peacefulness of fishing and being on the lake with his wife Sharon. He was deeply involved in D.O.V.R., as well as the Cozy Corner Snowmobile Club. He also served on the town board of Dairyland, WI. He also enjoyed watching and attending Nascar races. Giving back and staying connected to others were central to who he was.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sharon (Gerkin) Deyo; his children, Jason Deyo (Kristina) of Braham, Minnesota, and Jenny Heath (Jim) of Isanti, Minnesota; 'Papa' to nine cherished grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ronald is also survived by his siblings, Tom Deyo (Nancy), Joan Johnson, Carol Spock (Dave), and his mother, Helen Klein.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Deyo, and his stepfather, Darrol Klein.
Ronald’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the many memories shared by those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
