Raymond L. Granger, age 90, a resident of Webster, WI formerly of Edina, MN died October 20, 2012. Raymond was born on July 27, 1922 in Forest Lake to Magloire and Florentine Granger. Raymond was a graduate of Forest Lake High School. In 1942, he joined the U.S. Navy as a machinist but due to a shortage of medics in the South Pacific he was elected to serve as a corpsman based on his past experiences. Raymond served seven years before being honorably discharged as a World War II veteran. On June 25, 1949 Raymond married Frances Anderson at the St. Paul Cathedral. He owned/operated Granger Construction and was a manufacturer representative and importer of sporting goods for a number of years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and most of all spending time with his family. Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Tavernier; his parents; 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Frances; daughters Jeanette Granger and Victoria Terry; granddaughter Ashley (Aaron) Fraher and sister Isabelle Padden; along with other relatives and many friends. Funeral services Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 10:30 AM (visitation 9:30-10:30 AM) at Church of St. Patrick 6820 St. Patrick’s Lane Edina, Minnesota.
