Paul Erickson

Paul Theodore Erickson, age 56, of La Follette Twp, Burnett Co., WI, passed away Thursday morning, December 3, 2015, at Indianhead Medical Center, Shell Lake, WI. Born in Saint Paul, MN, on September 28, 1959, Paul was a son of Robert T. and Joan M. (Annen) Erickson. He attended public schools in Saint Paul and Siren, and was a 1978 graduate of Siren High School. He lived in Eau Claire for over thirteen years and returned to Burnett County in the mid 1990s. Paul has worked in various positions in the Eau Claire and Siren areas including Burnett County Dairy Cooperative in Alpha, Parker Hannifin Quick Coupling Division in Grantsburg, and Sam Williamson Roofing Contractor in Siren. Paul was an expert carpenter in his own right and built two homes. He also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. Paul is preceded in death by his father, Bob Erickson, and his stepfather, Dave Goranson, Sr., as well as extended family members Surviving are his mother, Joan M. Goranson; five brothers: Michael (Derris) Erickson, Todd (Nancy) Erickson, Kerry Erickson, Scott Erickson, and Daniel Goranson; three step-brothers: David Goranson, Jr., Douglas Goranson, and Dwayne Goranson; an aunt, Pat Bley; uncles: Joel (Donna) Goranson, Nathan (Pat) Goranson, and Steve (Joyce) Goranson, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The memorial service honoring the life of Paul Erickson will be conducted at 11:00 am (visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am), on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Crosswalk Community Church (an Evangelical Free Church of America), 505 Old Co. Rd W, Frederic, WI 54837. Pastor Gregory Lund will officiate the service, and a fellowship luncheon will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted with Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Siren, WI.
