Merlin Charles Becvar, age 93 of Grantsburg, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, at Burnett Medical Center Continuing Care Center.
Merlin was born in Grantsburg on March 19, 1931, to Frank and Ranghild Becvar where he grew up and attended Grantsburg schools. On February 2, 1957, he married Mary E. Christner.
He served in the United States Army. Merlin worked as a heavy equipment operator with the 49ers Union in Minneapolis, MN.
