Mary Loretta Houmann, age 92, of Danbury, WI, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on March 7, 1926 to parents John and Edith (Nicholson) Johnston in Lafayette, Indiana.
On September 19, 1945 Mary was united in marriage to Charles Houmann in Lafayette, Indiana. Upon this union, three children were born: John, Larry and Chuck.
In 1962, Charles and Mary bought the Houman Resort which they owned and operated for 30 years. Mary loved to quilt, fish, knit, do china painting, golf and fish. Most of all she loved to travel to Las Vegas.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; brother, Jack; sisters, Betty and Doris; daughters-in-law, LeAnn and Beverly.
She is survived by her children: John Houman, Larry (Kathy) Houman and Chuck (Connie) Houman; special niece, Pam Kowalski; grandchildren: Bryan, Julie, Ellie, Andy, Michael, and Matt; step grandchildren, Carrie Kieler and Theresa Bibeau; great-grandchildren: Hannah, Caleb and Fischer Houman, Brady Krenz, Bristol and Cayden Houman, and twins (grandson and granddaughter) due in December; step great-grandchildren; Audrianne and Kevin Kieler, Amanda Mills, Katie Mills, and Meghan Wood; sister, Dolly Hoyer. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM (visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI with Chaplain Tom Terrill officiating.
