Martin Anthony Fornengo

February 18, 1949 — January 6, 2026

Martin Anthony Fornengo, age 76, of Danbury, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2026.

Martin was born in Siren, Wisconsin, to Tony Fornengo and Doris Fornengo. He spent his early years growing up in Cloverton, Minnesota, where he attended school, and later completed his high school education in Sandstone, Minnesota.

Martin shared his life with his wife, Bonnie, and together they raised three children: Mike (Trixie Posta) Fornengo, Shelly (Scott) Lowe, and Miranda (Ward) Staples. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kyle, Jordan, Brady, Hunter, and Hailey, and a cherished great-grandfather to Weston.

Throughout his life, Martin was known for his strong work ethic. He worked as a groundskeeper and also spent time working on the railroad. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, canoeing, assembling model cars, and most of all, spending time with his family. Those who knew Martin will remember him for his quiet dedication, steady presence, and love for the outdoors.

Martin is survived by his brother, John (Robin); sisters Linda (Denny), Mary Lee (Roger), and Peg, and Antoinette, along with other beloved family members, including Jeff, Sue, and Pete.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Doris Fornengo, Clint Coveau, and Ronnie Kern.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI. Online condolences may be expressed at www.swedberg-taylor.com
