Obituary

Lois Jean Young, 91, longtime resident of Dairyland, died September 17, 2026, at her home. Lois was born February 6, 1935, in Superior, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edith and Roy Hadlock.

She was a nurse for many years, leaving that profession to be a wife and mother. Lois had a love for family, animals, and flowers. She had several bunnies, deer, and birds who were daily visitors to her yard, where she had treats for them to enjoy. She loved her flower garden, her grape plants and apple trees, and was happy to show them off to everyone who stopped by.

Lois is preceded in death by her husband Darwin, parents Edith and Roy Hadlock, Grandparents Ruth and Emil Bliese, and brothers William, Leon, Allen, and Ray.

Lois is survived by her children Bonnie, Brenda, Loretta, Dennis, and Phyllis; sister Rose of Orange, VA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a very special arrival of a great-great-granddaughter.

The memorial service for Lois will be held at 2:00 pm (visitation 1:00 to 2:00 pm) on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Services, in Webster, WI.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster. Online condolences may be expressed at www.swedberg-taylor.com.
