Leslie James Larson, born December 15, 1939, in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, passed away on July 23, 2026. He was a devoted father and a cherished member of his family and community.

Leslie is survived by his daughters, Tammy Ginder and Debbie Drake; his grandson, Ryan Ginder (Erika); his brother, Dennis Larson (Joanne); his sister, Shirley Nelson; and his special friend, Barbara Finch, and many nieces and nephews.

Leslie dedicated many years of his life to woodworking, working in the production of wood shutters at Northern Manufacturing. His craftsmanship and attention to detail reflected his pride in his work and his passion for creating beautiful, functional pieces. He especially enjoyed rebuilding a 1948 Ford and crafting wooden cars from salvaged materials, often showcasing his creations in local parades.

Outside of his career, Leslie had a wide range of interests. He participated in demolition derbies, had a strong passion for home renovation and car repair, and was known as a true “fix-it-all” man—never turning down a challenge. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an active member of a dry rider association, where he built lasting friendships through travel and shared experiences.

Leslie created countless memories with family and friends throughout his life. He generously shared his skills and knowledge, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, hard work, and craftsmanship will live on in the many lives he touched.

Leslie was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Elinar Larson; his brother, Robert Larson; his sister-in-law, Kathy Larson; his brother-in-law, Gerald Nelson; and his sons-in-law, Michael Ginder and James Drake.
