Laurie Warren

Laurie Leta (Gile) Warren of Grantsburg, WI a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister went to be with the lord and savior on July 29, 2024 at the age of 76.

Laurie was born May 8, 1948 to Raymond and Virginia Gile. She graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1966. After graduation she moved to Minneapolis for awhile until coming back home where she met and married Tom Warren. She raised four children Tammy (Tom) Nagel, Todd (Carleen) Warren, Tim (Jean) Warren and Traci (Jimmy) White. Laurie was a loving grandmother to Tony Norling, Alison (Jake) Nelson, Ellie Warren, Bradley Pfuhl, Berlyn Pfuhl Warren and Avery Boudreau. And a loving great grandmother to Henry Moen and Evelyn Nelson.

Laurie enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting and was especially proud to have completed quits for all four of her children. She was also known for her Swedish meatballs and rosettes.

Laurie is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sisters, Diane Bennett, Jeanne (Gordy) Norling, Maureen (Mack) McClain and Vicki Minder; along with many other family members and friends.

Laurie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Spencer Gile.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 5:00 -7:00 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg, WI. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10-11 AM) at the Wood River Christian Fellowship in Grantsburg, WI. with a luncheon to follow. Pallbearers are Tim Warren, Todd Warren, Tony Norling, Jake Nelson, Avery Boudreau and Bradley Pfuhl.
