Klaus was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and community spirit.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Ingrid; daughter Heide (Jeff); daughter Petra (Cab); sons Guenther, Berend, and Klaus (Kim); brothers Peter (Phebe), Norbert, and Werner (Linda); and sister Sabina (John) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Arvid (Blacky) and Annmarie, and his brothers Manfred and Frank.
Klaus lived in Bad Harzburg, Germany, before immigrating to the United States in 1956, where he built a life rooted in family and service. A proud Mason for 55 years, he also dedicated many years to the Lions Club, giving back to his community through countless civic projects.
He was well known in the Danbury area for organizing the annual Ice Fishing Contest and the beloved Oktoberfest—events he proudly helped host for decades. A Master Plumber by trade, Klaus founded Markville Plumbing and Heating in 1974, serving his neighbors with skill, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
