Kennedy “Ken” Luke Simon , age 54, of Grantsburg, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2020.
Ken was born on March 27, 1965, to parents, Margaret (Spaulding) and George Simon. He graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1983.
On October 29, 1988, Ken was united in marriage to Maria Edaburn.
Ken was a true jack of all trades who enjoyed working on lawnmowers, tractors and various small engines. He was also very skilled in carpentry. He liked spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, going for walks and feeding the birds. He loved family cookouts, checking in on his friends and spending time with his sons.
Preceding Ken in death is his parents, Margaret and George Simon; brothers, Jordan and Ernie; father-in-law, Harold Edaburn; and brother-in-law, David.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Maria Simon; sons: Jeremy, Justin, and Corey (Jennifer); grandsons: John, Braedyn and Keaton; siblings: Tim, Andy (Dolly), Joe (Lisa), Terri (Sam), Val (Jim), Loren (Sheila), Orval, Peggy (Jim), Shelly (Jason) and Jolly (Amber); mother-in-law, Gloria Edaburn; brother-in-law, Doug; sister-in-law, Melissa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Gathering and Potluck will be held at the American Legion in Grantsburg on Sunday, January 19, 2020, from 11:00am – 3:00pm.
