Kay Marie Jones, age 76, of Danbury (Blaine Twp.), WI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 11, 2014. She was born in Superior, WI, on September 28, 1938, a daughter of the late Bert and Edna (Hartshorn) Carlson. She was raised in the Solon Springs area, attending public schools there, and was 1956 graduate of Solon Springs High School. On October 3, 1959, Kay was united in marriage to Wesley Wayne Jones. The ceremony was conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Danbury. Kay Marie and Wesley Wayne Jones had recently celebrated 55 years of marriage. Kay was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Webster, and attended weekend services and weekday bible studies. She was a devout Christian woman, and a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren fondly called her “Nana.” She was a good cook and baker, and enjoyed making the family dinners, especially during the holidays. Kay also enjoyed traveling with her husband and vacationing in Mexico, as well as resorts in New Mexico and Hawaii. Surviving are her husband, Wesley Wayne Jones; two sons, Robert Jones and Charles “Chuck” (Lori) Jones; two step-daughters, Denise Meier and Kim (David) Nelson; two grandchildren, Brendon Jones and Barett Jones; step grandchildren: Dione, Christyl, Sean, Michael and Brian; and great grandchildren. Also a sister, Margaret Ann Bjornsons; a niece and two nephews; her best friend, Darlene Harter; as well as other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Halvor Bjornsons; and step son-in-law, Carl Meier. The memorial service honoring the life of Kay Marie Jones will be conducted at 11:00 am (visitation 10:00 to 11:00 am), on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (LCMS), Webster, with Rev.
