Kathleen Mary (Johnson) Andren August 4, 1945- September 2, 2014 She was an only child born in Joplin, MO to Sgt. Casper ‘Cap’ and Helen (Szymczak) Johnson. She spent her early childhood years in the State of Oregon and later the family returned to the southern Minnesota area where she graduated high school from Kiester, MN. While working at the VA hospital in Minneapolis, MN she met Oliver ‘Hub’ Andren Jr., they were married in Wells, MN on September 19, 1970. The new family located in the Grantsburg, WI area. For a short time period they went to Superior, WI where Kathy earned her LPN nursing degree at WITC and also a year in Bend, OR. Finally settling into the Webster, WI area in the late 70’s. Kathy is survived by her Mother Helen Johnson; Daughter Christina (Kyle) Werdier; Son Mark Andren; Grandchildren Justin (Galina) Werdier, Jordan Werdier, Bryana Andren(Tony Nowling), Brandon Andren and Great Granddaughter Ashlyn Werdier; Sister-In-Law Rosemary Steele and many friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her Husband Oliver Andren Jr. and Father Casper Johnson. Kathy made her life career in various nursing fields working in the Twin Cities and northern WI area. She took an early retirement so she and Hub could spend their winters in the south. Enjoying the areas of South Padre Island, TX and settling in Apache Junction, AZ. Kathy enjoyed bowling league, traveling, genealogy, collecting bears, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, and tried every craft at least once, her most favorite hobby from childhood to her time in the hospital was and has always been Reading. A Celebration of life was held on September 6, 2014 at the Community Center in Webster, WI. Internment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Webster, WI. Dedication ceremony was spoken by Lucy Basler as Kathy had requested. Swedberg-Taylor assisted family with service arrangements.
