Joanne Marie McCann

Joanne Marie McCann, age 67, of Grantsburg, WI, passed away on March 9, 2026, at Burnett Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.

Joanne was born on June 12, 1958, in St. Paul, MN, to parents John and Betty Bruzek. She was the fifth of nine siblings. Later, their family moved to Grantsburg, WI, where she spent the rest of her life.

Joanne married the love of her life, Michael (Mac) McCann, on June 6, 2003. They lived happily together for twenty years until Mac's death in 2023.

She loved bowling, going to the casino, playing cards with her sisters & spending time with her loved ones.

Preceded in death by her parents, John Bruzek Sr. and Betty Bruzek; her husband, Michael McCann; her sister, Maryann McCracken; and her niece, Joni Bruzek.

Survived by her children, Phillip (Katie) Bruzek, Misty Bruzek, and Adam Bruzek. Her siblings Sue (Ken) Erickson, John (Dena) Bruzek Jr., Arnie Bruzek, Gloria (Terry Sr.) Neuman, Barbara Wilson, Chris (Don) Schiefelbein, and Dawn (David) Johnson. Her grandchildren, Angelina Bruzek and Faith Walker. As well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Joanne at 25977 Spaulding Rd, Grantsburg, WI, on April 25th from 12 pm to 3 pm.
