Gerald A. “Jerry” Klinkhammer, age 86, of Grantsburg, WI, passed away Monday night, October 19, 2015, at Comforts of Home in Frederic, WI, with family by his side. Jerry was born March 20, 1929, in Almena, Barron Co., WI, to the late Enos I. and Mathilda (Buhr) Klinkhammer. He was the youngest of 10 children. He attended public grade school and high school in Turtle Lake, WI. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Ann Catholic Church in Turtle Lake. Jerry married Carol Gamache in 1948, and they had a son Jeffrey. Carol passed away March 1, 2002. He was a dedicated, lifetime employee of Associated Milk Producers, Inc. (AMPI) rising from a lab technician to plant supervisor. Jerry enjoyed many outdoor activities – snowmobiling, construction, landscaping, fishing, and especially hunting. On March 17, 2005, Jerry was united in marriage to Karen Erickson (nee: Ryan) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grantsburg. Preceding him in death are his parents, Mathilda and Enos; his wife, Carol; brothers: Albert, Walter, Oscar, Leo, Joseph, Raymond, and George Klinkhammer; and a sister, Margaret Wick. Jerry is survived by his wife, Karen; his son, Jeffrey (Diane) Klinkhammer; granddaughter, Paula (Shalin) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Natalie Johnson; stepsons: William (Lilly), Brian (Christine), and Robert (Lori) Erickson, and their families; his 100 year old sister, Dorothy Cory; sister-in-law, Ramona Klinkhammer; and many loved relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am (visitation 9:30 to 11:00 am), Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grantsburg, with Father Tom Thakadipuram officiating. A fellowship luncheon will follow the service. The Rite of Committal will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Grantsburg.
