Denise (Zhingwaagidoon) Jean LaSarge, age 68, a resident of Hertel, WI, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s, Duluth, MN.

Denise was born on May 16, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to parents Bourbon and Harriet LaSarge.

Denise enjoyed talking on the phone, rummage sales, casinos, shopping, spending time with her grandson, and having a good time with family and friends. Denise was also a part of Big Drum Society.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Diane and Kathleen LaSarge, and nephew, Joseph LaSarge.

She is survived by her son, Gage D. Lindemann; grandson, Erik Lindemann; siblings, Karen (Anthony) Chavez, and Jerome LaSarge; nieces, Tracee Hall, Jari LaSarge, Teri LaSarge; nephews, Dennis LaSarge, and Mitchell LaSarge; and many other loving family and friends.

A funeral visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, starting at 5:00 PM at the St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel, WI. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, with Michelle (Baabitaaw) Boyd as the officiant.

Interment will take place at the Big Sand Lake Cemetery with pallbearers Mark Stoner, Jeromy Lambert, Derek Lindemann, Sam Taylor, Ryan Dezorah, Brennan Moose, Kyle Bawer, and Duane Emery. Honorary pallbearers: Burt Lindemann, Delbert Benjamin Sr., Joseph Oustigoff, Elmer "Jay" Emery, and Alvin Oustigoff
