David Kallman

David Edward Kallman, 82, of Grantsburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Dave was born on September 26, 1941 to the late Donald & Anne Kallman. Dave graduated from Grantsburg High School in 1959 and married Kay Muehlhauser July 1, 1961. Together they raised three children.

Dave was an avid sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was also a private pilot for most of his life and loved flying his “yellow paper airplane”. He retired from Shafer Contracting in 1999 and spent his retirement continuing to enjoy the outdoors, tinkering in his garage and riding his Harley with Kay.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Donald & Anne, and his wife of 57 years, Kay.

Dave is survived by his children Roxanne, Jeff (Kim) and Dan (Julianne), his grandchildren Rebecca, Nicole, Corbin, Mitch, Grace and Zac, 4 great grandchildren Robert, Chloe, Ayden and Ayker, and his brother Lloyd.

No formal services will be held. Instead, find your favorite fishing hole and cast a line.
