Darrald Doriott

October 28, 1939 — October 16, 2025

Webster, WI

Darrald Doriott, a beloved figure in his community, passed away while surrounded by loved ones on October 16, 2025, at the United Pioneer Nursing Home in Luck.

Darrald was born on October 28, 1939. He was the youngest of ten children born to Albert and Clara, and dedicated his life to the logging industry, a vocation he pursued with passion and commitment. Darrald owned and operated several logging businesses throughout his career, beginning with Doriott Brothers Logging with his brother, Albert (Junie), which later transformed into Doriott Logging and subsequently D & K Logging.

Darrald completed his early schooling at Orange School before graduating from Webster High School in 1957. He married Marian Bavle and into this union were born Mark, Debra, and Kevin. In 1987 he married Karen Mausolf and welcomed stepchildren James, Diane, and Brenda.

Darrald had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought joy to his life. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed stock car racing, and he and Karen sponsored many drivers and attended many of their races. In addition, he was a proud sponsor of Scott and Nick Doriott’s ATV racing. Later in life, he turned his passion to classic cars and enjoyed participating in local car shows and parades. Winters found him and Karen basking in the warmth of Texas, and he found tranquility in bird and other wildlife watching at his home in Webster, pursuits that reflected his deep appreciation for nature.

Darrald is survived by his children, Mark (Sue), Debra (Murray), and Kevin (Kelly), and his stepchildren, James (Rene), Diane (Tim), and Brenda (Jerry, III). He was a cherished grandfather to Derek (Madison), Samantha (Jeremy), Riley (Maggie), Delaney (Ryan), Justin, Kristin (Tyler), and Billy, and a proud great-grandfather to Dakota, Charles, Annabelle, Walker, Winnie, Robert, and Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen. Darrald was also preceded by his parents, Albert and Clara, and his siblings: brothers Vernon, Lyle, Donald, Albert Jr., and Gordon, and sisters Bertha, Mercelia, Mary, and Loretta.

Darrald’s legacy will be remembered through the lives he touched and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family wishes to thank Regional Hospice Services and United Pioneer Home for their care and comfort. Also, the family wishes to recognize the dedication and companionship of Kristine Christensen, Darrald's in-home care provider. In addition, the family is thankful for the meaningful visits Darrald had with his great friend, Jerry Rand. Lastly, a special thank you to nephew, Glenn for his helping hands and willingness to do whatever he could for his Uncle Darrald. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to either the Webster Senior Center or the Nick Doriott Scholarship Fund at Webster High School.
