Daniel Brian Olson passed away on July 6, 2026.

He was born on January 4, 1985. Danny had a brilliant mind, was a top-notch student, graduating from Webster High School, and attended UMD in the Air Force ROTC program, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering, then switching to the Marines, where he was a captain in Special Operations. 

Danny leaves behind his much-loved children: Liesl Goranson (Jaeger) and Gustave Olson; his parents, Larry Olson and Karen Petranovich; his brothers Matt Olson (Tania) and Wes Olson; nephews and nieces, and many aunts, uncles, and good friends. 

Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beatrice and Donald Olson, Lucretia and Joe Johnson. Danny and his brothers were raised by Grandma Olson while his father, Larry, was long-distance trucking. Danny loved his Grandma Olson very much. 

There will be a small graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on July 14th at Hillcrest Cemetery, 33286 WI Hwy 35, Danbury, WI.
