Carole Louise Daniels, age 77, of Webster, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin.

Carole was born on January 7, 1949, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Roland and Erna Gleisner. From the very beginning, Carole had a way of bringing a little more light and laughter wherever she went. She was the kind of person who could brighten a room with her smile, make people laugh when they needed it most, and somehow make everyone around her feel a little happier just by being there.

Carole found joy in the simple things in life and, most of all, in the people she loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured her family and the memories they made together. Her family will remember her for her loving heart, her smile, her sense of humor, and the special way she made each person feel loved and welcomed.

Carole loved entertaining and having people around her. She was creative at heart and enjoyed anything artsy, especially drawing and painting. And you could almost always find her with a camera in her hand, capturing the people and moments she loved, although she may have needed a little help figuring out all that “new technology.” She loved the outdoors, her flowers, and spending time in her garden. Carole also had an incredible memory; she never seemed to forget a birthday or a telephone number. And if you knew Carole, you knew she could talk for hours, even when you had somewhere else you were supposed to be. That was simply Carole, and those are the little things her family will miss and laugh about for years to come.

She had a personality all her own and leaves behind countless stories, laughs, and memories that will be carried on by those who knew and loved her.

Carole will be deeply missed by her children, Christy Wilkins and Spencer Daniels (Kayla); her grandchildren, Collin (Jada), Aliyah, Tres, Marissa, Khalia, and Kanyan; and her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sisters, MaryAnn Bauch, Lois Reynolds, JoAnn Kuehn (Roger), Ruth Duron, and Phyllis Lensing (Bill), along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer "Dick" Daniels, parents, Roland and Erna Gleisner; her brother, Joseph Gleisner; and her brother-in-law, Ormand Reynolds.

Carole may no longer be here to share her smile or make us laugh, but the happiness she brought into the lives of others will live on. Her family and friends will carry her memory in the stories they tell, the laughter they share, and all the little moments that remind them of her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Swedberg Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI. A graveside service will be held after visitation at Oak Grove Cemetery, Webster, WI, where Carol will be laid to rest.

Rest easy, Carole. You made the world a little happier just by being in it.
