Boneta “Bonnie” M. (Pardun) Smiley, age 73, a resident of Danbury, Wisconsin died on June 19, 2009 at her home. Bonnie was born on October 11, 1935 in Danbury, Wisconsin to Ernest W. and Louise M. Pardun. Bonnie married Doug Smiley in Pine City, Minnesota on October 14, 1952. Bonnie and her husband Doug were dairy farmers for over 45 years. She loved gardening, canning and going to garage sales. She also enjoyed spending time reading, fishing and traveling. She loved to “take care of” everyone and spending as much time with her family and grandchildren as possible. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ernest, Ray, Greg, Everett, Warren, David, Lyle, Howard, Danny, and Stanley; sisters Barbara, Pearl, Erma, and Blanche. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband Doug, children Deborah (Troy) Dunkley, Trudy Smiley; grandson Joel (Tiffany) Hunter, great grandchildren Joey and Morgan; brother Harold Pardun, sisters Irene (Joe) Fornengo, Donna Richison, and Janice (Monte) Chapman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Pardun officiating. Interment followed at Danbury Cemetery. Casketbearers were Rick Pardun, Lon Pardun, Monte Ray Chapman, Anthony Chapman, Bruce Wiswell, and Doug Wiswell. Arrangements were entrusted to the Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster, Wisconsin.
