Betty Jean Ksobiech, age 72, a resident of the Town of Springbrook, passed away on June 2, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born October 31, 1938 to Mildred and Keith Wolfe of Earl, Wisconsin. Betty was united in marriage to Arnold Ksobiech on September 1, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Betty and Arnold raised their family in Springbrook, Wisconsin. She worked employed as a baker at the Hayward Co-op. Betty enjoyed nature and seeing all the wildlife that Northern Wisconsin has to offer. Betty took pleasure in playing the slots at the nearby casinos. Her unfortunate diagnosis with cancer came in October 2010. Betty passed away peacefully at her daughter's home, surrounded by her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnold, son, Roy Ksobiech and brother, Harold Wolfe. Survivors include her daughter, Ellen (Steve) Wahlstrom; son, Marty Ksobiech; grandchildren Cassondra Wahlstrom, Casimer Wahlstrom and Bryce Ksobiech; great-grandson, Andrew Ksobiech; brothers, Lyle (Norma) Wolfe and Lenard ( Claudia) Wolfe; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Taylor Family Funeral Home in Spooner. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with visitation for one hour prior to services. Pastor Ron Gormong will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Earl Cemetery. Casketbearers include Mike Corrado, Harry Hughes, Aaron Hughes, Phil Osborn, Floyd Moyer and Dale Martin.
