Barbara J Hinze

Barbara Jean Hinze was born on October 16, 1941, and died on April 6, 2026, at 84.

Barb’s spirit and sense of humor, even when making fun of herself, endeared her to many. Family was her highest priority. Barb kept an immaculate house. She was always available to support the children doing their homework in the evening, urging them to do their best. For recreation, she enjoyed fishing, never failing to catch the biggest fish. When the family settled in Siren in 2000, Barb continued to pursue her career in hairdressing.

Barb will be sorely missed by her son, Wesley, and daughter, Wanda, grandson Matthew, great-grandson, Marshall, and sisters, Shirley and Ginger. Barb’s parents, husband, Larry, and son Lanny preceded her in death.

Visitation for Barb will be on Wednesday, April 15, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church in Webster, followed by the service at 2:00. Commitment at the graveside at Lakeview Cemetery in Siren will take place immediately following the service. People are invited for coffee after the service. The family is hoping to visit with guests when they return from the cemetery.
